This training is designed for mental health professionals, educators, and allied practitioners seeking to strengthen their skills in supporting neurodivergent individuals with co occurring mental health challenges. Drawing on both lived experience and clinical expertise, the programme combines evidence based approaches with practical, hands on strategies that can be adapted across a wide range of professional contexts.
Training Overview
Participants will explore the complexities of neurodivergence such as Autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities and the intersections with conditions including anxiety, depression, and trauma. The training highlights how to avoid diagnostic overshadowing, recognise and respond to trauma, and adapt approaches to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical demonstrations, attendees will develop confidence in applying person centred, neurodiversity affirming practices within their work. Emphasis is placed on creative modalities, sensory informed adaptations, and sustainable approaches that enhance both client outcomes and clinician well being.
